This course is designed to further extend both the students' skills in plastic injection moldmaking and knowledge of the latest technologies used for mold designing and mold fabrication, including the use of computer programs. Definitions of complex types of plastic injection molds, mathematical solutions of plastic part requirements, computer-generated Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) electrodes and computer-generated template designs, and surface polishing will be covered.
